🎀 The Legacy Behind MARARTE Workshop 🎀

My name is Maria, and I am the founder and creator of Mararte.

Born in 1993 into a family of creatives, my journey in design began long before I ever held a professional pattern cutter. Growing up in my parents' wedding and photography studio in Patras, by the age of ten I was capturing moments behind the lens and hand-stitching bridal gowns alongside my mother. 📸🪡🧵

Creativity wasn't just a career path for us — it was our family's way of life. ✨

When our family relocated to Thessaloniki, I began studying Management & Marketing, but my passion for garment construction kept calling me back. So I stopped everything 👇 and graduated as a Modelist / Pattern Maker from PANSIK, driven by a dream to build something meaningful.

Facing early rejection in an industry hesitant to trust a 22-year-old designer, I worked endless seasonal shifts as a waitress to self-fund my first industrial sewing machine, my laptop and my camera.

Determined to create my own path, I turned to children's couture through Etsy, partnering with visionary international photographers who opened the doors to a global industry.

Together with my sister Giota, and later our mother Tami, who joined our core team, we fought tirelessly through studio moves and industry challenges.

Today, from our dream studio in Kato Scholari, Thessaloniki, MARARTE is a proudly woman-founded, family-led couture brand. Together with my mother Tami, my sister Giota and our dedicated team, we create enchanting luxury fairytale gowns for Client Closets and VIP families across the globe.

My motto is simple: ♡ Keep your dreams alive ♡ Every obstacle can be transformed into magic. I can see happiness and smile in every difficult situation, because that's life. 🎀
